Fujitsu Mini-Split Installation Examples

24 08 2009

A lot of people asked me on how do you actually install the Fujitsu outdoor and indoor units. It was confusing for some people, so I spent couple of hours looking on the internet for some cool examples of those systems installed by contractors.

As I found on Fujitsu website, the installation is easy as 1, 2, 3 …

  1. Mount indoor and outdoor units.
  2. Connect refrigerant lines (a.k.a Line Sets) and drain lines.
  3. Make electrical connections

Unlike Central  Air and other heating and cooling systems, installation of the Fujitsu Mini-Splits usually takes just couple of hours. It requires only a small 3 to 4-inch opening in the wall or ceiling to connect the indoor and outdoor units using Refrigerant Lines.

Here is a typical complete system that you should receive:

I also found a video on “How not to install mini-split air conditioner”  It’s short, but funny 🙂
